Finland, which extends 700 miles from the Baltic Sea up into the Arctic Circle, is home to 5.2 million people.  Finnish and Swedish are the official languages.  Although there is freedom of religion, the Lutheran church is closely linked with the government and 86% of the people are members of that church.
