El Salvador is the smallest and most densely populated country in Central America with a population of 6.6 million.  There are, however, over 1 million others who have fled to El Salvador as refugees from other lands.  There is great freedom of religion despite the prominence of Roman Catholicism.  There are 17  assemblies in the country and three full time national workers.  Spanish is the principal language.
