Bolivia, considered
the "Tibet of South America," is landlocked and mountainous.
The population is about 8.6 million, 70% of whom live at an altitude of
10,000 feet or higher. Although 75% of the population claims to be
Roman Catholic, few practice their religion. There is freedom to
spread the Gospel. The first assembly was founded in 1915 and today
there are 350; there are 20 national workers.
