Dear ones in Christ,
During one of the revivals in Israel, at one of the gatherings, it says
"they read distinctly from the book, in the Law of God,; and they gave
the
sense, and helped them to understand the meaning." God's work should
have
God's Word at center stage.
This coming Monday, 28 students of God's Word will be devoting one whole
month to intensive Bible study. These are people who are already active
in
their local assemblies. And the idea is that this will help them be
better
equipped to continue the work they are doing. Pray that each of the
teachers
will be able to "give the sense, and help them to understand the
meaning"
Pray for the students that the Lord will give them an appetite for His
Word,
and that they will have the endurance for the whole month. Over the
week-ends they will have some practical work which will be a help to
some of
the works here in Lima.
Also pray for over 1,600 daily Gospel calendars that have been
distributed.
Pray that the Lord will do a work in these people's hearts, and that
they
will remember to read it daily.
During my absence at the month long Bible training, the meetings help at
my
home will continue with the help of some of the believers from Covida.
There
is a ladies meeting on Wednesday afternoons; and a general meeting on
Friday
night to be able to explain the Gospel to some of the neighbors.
Please continue to believe what it says in 2 Cor. 1:11 that you work
together with us through prayer - thank you for being a coworker in this
way.
With the meekness and tenderness of Christ,
Joel Clark
