Heb 7:24  but He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. 25  Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost those who come unto God by Him, since He ever lives to make intercession for them.

Greetings Dear Saints In the worthy name of our Lord Jesus Christ,  Isn’t it great to realize we have a faithful high priest who “ever Lives” to make intercession for us. We trust you all are drawing near and cleaving to Him.  Thanks so much for all your prayers and support for us.

Update on the work in Ireland

Waterford Assembly :  The Assembly is growing slowly but surely both numerically and spiritually.  The mid week bible study which for a long time had been very vibrant with a number of folks coming has recently been missing quite a few.  The reason being that a number of folks are now working in the evening and are unable to come so David + Matt would value prayers in regard to how to help remedy this and once again see it going well.

The Wilson ’s have decided to wait till the spring to put their house back up for sale.  The offer they had fell through and so they have decided to wait a bit.  I’m sure they would value prayer in regards to selling their home and relocating to Waterford .

Future outreaches

As we look towards the summer with it will (Lord Willing) bring a team from South Florida as well as the usual TNT team and a team as well from Northern Ireland .  So it looks like we will have our hands full with teams and trust the Lord would bless the effort and all those that come would be challenged afresh of the need for outreach in the Republic of Ireland .

BX (Bible Explorer)

I have 2 schools lined up to do upon my return in April and look forward to this time again in the classrooms

Update on the Outreach Work in N.America

The bible study outreach in Vernon which was started in Oct has been fairly good  with a number of people coming, although recently the numbers have trailed off.  We are going through the book of Romans and currently are in chapter 13 Again if you could pray for this outreach that we could perhaps see some new people come out.

Florida trip

Just recently Linda and I had the privilege of getting away for a week to S. Florida while there we had an opportunity to work with Boulevard Bible Chapel with an outreach at the beach.  This was really encouraging to us as about 30-35 people from the Assembly came along which made the openair a great time and of course a large crowd draws a crowd so we had plenty of people to preach too.  We pray for the seed sown through both preaching and tract distribution.  One couple who were on holiday from London Ontario who heard the preaching came over to talk with me after I finished and then asked where the “church” was.  They ended up coming to both meetings on Sunday and seemed very encouraged.

Toronto area trip

I was able to go to Toronto for 2 weeks and visit my family (mom + 2 brothers) although I didn’t really get a chance to witness to them as much as I had hoped I did get a good witness in with one of my niece’s for which I am thankful; I was also able to visit some Assemblies around the area. The people I met were very encouraging to me and many stated they learned several things about Ireland and will continue to pray for the work.

Future events

I have several more speaking engagements with a conference as well in Vancouver at Easter time and then on April 16th we will head back (Lord Willing) to Ireland and trust the Lord will go before in all these plans..

On the home front

Jerry

Has been enjoying skiing of late he’s been up 4 times now and is getting pretty good at bombing down the hill and doing turns and such.  He also has been out skating with me on the local lake near by which he also enjoyed.  Spiritually speaking he has continued to memorize scripture and has Rom 1 + 2 nearly fully done.  He also recently told me the message he heard at Monday night bible hour (it was the serpent on the pole) he was able to tell me that people today can get saved the same way by “Just Looking to Jesus”  he said the last bit with quite some enthusiasm.

Melody + Esther    continue to reach out to their many friends by bringing them to church and also witnessing to them one on one.  They both also help their mom on the Friday night youth outreach by doing puppet skits.  They continue with their voice lessons and dancing lessons and enjoy them very much as part of their home schooling.

David

Has started working with a friend from church in building a house and is kept fairly busy with this.  At the present he doesn’t have any long term plans but continues  to help with his youth group and trying to disciple young men in his church.

Sean and Valerie + Mila + Jenna

Continue to work with the youth at their church and also do a lunch hour bible study at a local high school.  Their home cleaning business continues to grow and keeps them very busy as well.

Steven + Carly

They both continue with their jobs and seem to be doing well with them, they also are quite busy with their church; both of them help with leading the music there.

Linda:

Has been having physical problems again this time with a sinus infection that has lasted 6 weeks and she has gone through 2 different antibiotics to try to clear it up.  Besides this she has kept busy with homeschooling and ladies bible studies. Recently we got away for a week by ourselves (Linda and I) to Florida .  Valerie our oldest daughter looked after the younger ones.  It was a refreshing time away and also was great to see the saints again in Florida .

Prayer request :  As you may be aware getting prepared to move can be very stressful as there are always so many things to do.  So if you could keep us in prayer we would be most thankful

So again thanks so much for all you do on our behalf in His Grace Tim for the Hoods

December 14, 2006

Greetings again in the name which is above all names our Lord Jesus Christ.  We would first just like to say Thank you "SO MUCH" for your continual prayer support for us and the work. We pray you will be encouraged and the Lord blesses all that you do for Him

Dear saints let us never forget to be thankful as Paul says in

2Co 9:15  But thanks be to God for His unspeakable free gift.

Update on the work in Ireland

Waterford Assembly :  The Assembly is growing slowly but surely both numerically and spiritually,  Please continue to pray. Recently when talking with David Wilson, he told me that his house had finally sold (they have been living about 45 minutes from Waterford and have been desiring to relocate in Waterford) Things haven't gone ahead exactly as they had hoped. The buyer of their home is having second thoughts while the Wilsons have been seeking mortgage approval for a home near Waterford,,, which is a difficult process when your job description includes working for God. In Ireland a person can change their minds about purchasing a house at anytime after they have made an offer unlike here where we are bound to a contract upon offering.  The Wilsons would value your prayers regarding the Lord’s will in all this and patience for themselves.

So let us continue to pray for them and also the work they are doing.

Home bible study This continues on and has been the most well attended meeting many times seeing unsaved people coming and hearing the word. People seem to be more comfortable with this type of setting and often this lasts for several hours.

Future outreaches

They have started to distribute the calendars and still have about 12,000 to go and I am sure they would value prayer for strength and also for those receiving it that the Lord would use this to speak to hearts.  This is the fourth year we have distributed these to the homes in Waterford and most people are genuinely grateful to receive the calendar.

BX (Bible Explorer)

David told me that things went well in the schools that he did and he really enjoyed his time.  Upon our return in April I hope to again get back into a few schools. Again if you could pray for those who have heard the word through this program and also that some new schools might be open to this.

Update on the Outreach Work in N.America

The bible study outreach in Vernon which was started in Oct has been fairly good  with a number of people coming, although recently the numbers have trailed off.  Again if you could pray for this outreach that we would see more people coming from outside the assembly to this study.

Westbank Assembly: Door to Door outreach:

There are a few who  have come out to help,  with this  work and this  has been very encouraging.  Each time we go out, there have been a number of opportunities to tell of the Savior's love.  Most recently I went out with brother Rob Brennan from 100mile house Assembly and again we had 3 good chats with unsaved people during one outing.   This type of work I believe is so needful and is a way to talk to some who will never come to a church meeting.

I have also just received a number of bible courses from Emmaus which we hope to  distribute to a number of homes near the Assembly.

Florida Outreach trip

I had a great time in South Florida, and although the weather was fantastic, the REAL blessing was just to be with the saints there and the encouragement it was to my soul.  I was greatly encouraged with Boulevard Bible Chapel and their desire to see people won to the Lord and also to be built up in the Lord. I also had a great time with many of the saints from Hollywood Bible Chapel and again just seeing them going on for god was a great thrill. My only regret was that my wife was unable to come because of her father's cancer (and then death).  As per my last e-mail even with this trial we rejoice as we think he was saved just prior to passing away.

Future plans

I haven't got too many more commitments to meet. I do have a few more preaching engagements around BC and then in Feb I will be going to Ontario for a few weeks to both visit family and to preach at some meetings there.

Then on April 16th we will head back (Lord Willing) to Ireland and trust the Lord will go before in all these plans..

          On the home front

Jerry

Has just started ice-skating for the first time in his life and he seems to be enjoying it.   He has landed plenty of times on his backside but has been pretty determined to keep going.  He can stay upright for most of his time now on the ice. He also has enjoyed trying to play hockey.  Spiritually speaking he has continued to memorize scripture and has Rom 1 and the first 9 verses in Romans 2 memorized along with various other verses from S.School.  He also has come out with me a couple of times on the doors and loves to  hand out tracts for which we PTL.

Melody + Esther

Continue to reach out to their many friends by bringing them to church and also witnessing to them one on one.  They both also help their mom on the Friday night outreach by doing puppet skits.  They continue with their voice lessons and dancing lessons and enjoy them very much as part of their home schooling.

David

Has recently started a new job with his brother Steven and is learning some carpentry skills and seems to enjoy this.  He also has started to court a young lady named Kelly and seems to be maturing.  Spiritually he is still quite active with his church and is one of the leaders with the youth.

Sean and Valerie + Mila + Jenna

Their cleaning business is continuing to grow and Sean + Val are kept quite busy with this. Recently they have hired a couple of other people to help them and to also free them up a bit.  Sean has been asked to be part of the leadership team at their church and is hoping in the future to find someone to manage their business, which will give him the freedom to work more hours for the Lord.  Millah continues to grow and is now 9 months old and has a "real" good set of lungs!  (likes to sing) She also is adorable and we really enjoy the time we can spend with her.

Steven + Carly

They both continue with their jobs and seem to be doing well with them, they also are quite busy with their church; both of them help with leading the music there.

Linda:

Her mom is now living in an assisted living apartment in a town closer to Linda’s sister.  She likes the social contact and care that she is getting there. Linda has had quite a few good opportunities to share the gospel with her but her mom is  still  trusting her religion (R.Catholic) to save her.  We do see a softening and trust the Spirit will continue to do His work in her life.  Linda has also started a ladies bible study in our home and finds this very encouraging.

So again thanks so much for all you do on our behalf in His Grace Tim for the Hoods

October 7, 2006

Greetings in the name which is above all names our Lord Jesus Christ.  Firstly we would just like to say Thank you for your continual prayer support for the work. We do pray you will be encouraged and the Lord blesses all that you for Him

Take care in His Grace Tim for the Hoods

Below is our most recent update

2Co 9:15  But thanks be to God for His unspeakable free gift.

Dear friends as we head into this “thanksgiving” weekend let us truly reflect upon the profound truth found in the above verse.  We are SO very blessed indeed.

Update on the work in Ireland

Work in Ireland

Waterford Assembly : I really enjoyed my recent trip this past month, again seeing all the saints and seeing some new ones that the Lord has brought to the Assembly.  Since our absence in March the Lord has brought a new couple Wayne + Kara from South Africa to the Assembly. Also Rekah a lady who came about a year ago from India has now been able to bring her husband Saljan over.  Saljan has proven to be a real blessing to the Assembly and it is great to see so many from different parts of the world coming together to worship the Lord.

Also recently there is a young brother (Johnny) coming to Waterford as he has been  commended to the work for a year.  He should be a good help to David and Matt as they all work together

Home bible study

In Ireland the home study continues to be a blessing currently they are going through Matthew’s gospel and again they have gotten a few new people that have come to check this out.  Again we pray that as the word of God is opened that it will meet the needs of the people who come

Future outreaches

They just received the calendars to hand out for this year 15 thousand an increase of 3,000 from last year. This will prove to be a large undertaking as in the past I have been able to help with this so they will be short 1 person so please pray for David and Matt as this is going to take a lot of strength…

BX (Bible Explorer)

On my return to the schools things went very well.. Thanks for your prayers!  There was only one school who I had taught before that declined to do it this time saying they had just too much on for the year.  The other schools though were very receptive, and so David Wilson has taken on the responsibility to teach in 3 of them so far and I will also do some when we return (Lord Willing) in March or April..  There are also a couple of other schools that have shown interest but at this point haven’t made a commitment to the program

The Ongoing Work in N.America

We started up the home bible study outreach for Vernon Assembly last night and there were a few people missing but those who came seem to be encouraged and there seems to be a desire to see more come to this so pray for the believers and there contacts to be able to bring them to the study as we continue to go through the book of Romans.  Pray also for the oversight in Vernon that the Lord would renew their vision for the work there.

Future outreaches

I plan Lord Willing to start Wed evening’s with door to door work in Westbank. I have talked to a number of the saints (at the Assembly) here and there is a small group who said they would like to help in this regard.  We hope that this will help to renew our vision for a lost and dying world that need the Life giving message of the gospel.

In November  I  plan on going to Florida (Lord Willing)  to visit a number of Assemblies to tell of the work in Ireland and also spend 2 weeks teaching on evangelism with an Assembly in Hollywood.

On the homefront

Jerry

Has memorized the first chapter of Romans and has just started his schooling.  He is progressing well and hopefully before the end of the school year he will be able to read.

Melody + Esther

Continue to reach out to there friends bringing them to church and also the Friday youth group.  They two have just started back to school and this is keeping them quite busy.  Both Esther and Melody are also taking voice lessons.

David

Is still very active in his church especially with the young people and they continue to go out weekly and evangelize at the local hangout for young people.  He also just recently started a new job as a maintenance man and seems to be enjoying it.

Sean and Valerie + Mila + Jenna

There business is growing well and Sean + Val are kept quite busy.  The baby is growing and is now able to sit up but still hasn’t started to walk yet.

Linda:

Continues to care for her parents and has had quite a few good opportunities to share the gospel with them but as of yet they still haven’t seen there need of the Savior.  She also has started a home bible study with the ladies and that is going quite well.

Steven + Carly

Are also quite busy with there church, both of them helping with leading the music there.  Recently Carly who started working as a teller at the TD Bank after the second day working with the public was robbed by a person who came in and said he had aids and had only a few months to live.. Anyway he managed to get away with about thousand dollars.  Carly was a bit shaken up with this but has continued with her job.  It is the first time the bank has ever been held up.

Linda’s mom + Dad :

Linda’s mom has now finished her chemo treatments and seems to be doing fairly well, they will test her again by Christmas but so far it appears they have held off the cancer.  Linda’s dad has had more testing on his neck but they are uncertain as to why he has had this new infection. He is scheduled to go in a few weeks to have a CAT scan hopefully this will reveal the extent of any problems.  There still however doesn’t seem to be any movement spiritually with either of them although Linda has had some good chats with both of them

So again thanks so much for all you do on our behalf  in His Grace Tim for the Hoods

August 30th, 2006

Work in Ireland

Waterford Assembly    The work continues right along in our absence with David Wilson and  also Matt Wright working with the people.  They have had a rather busy summer with 2 different outreach teams and have been able to plant much seed.  The local believers continue to grow in the Lord and David says he has been encouraged  by their development.

Home bible study

In Ireland the home study continues to be a blessing with many coming to this and we trust as as the scriptures continue to be opened that the Lord would continue to bless with some new souls won to the Kingdom as well as building up the saints

Outreach  Teams

There were 2 teams that helped with outreach one from N. America (TNT) and also a group from Northern Ireland .  David said they concentrated most of their outreach in one area to see what would develop and they have now gotten a few new contacts to follow up on.  Also the children’s work went quite well with a large number coming to the meetings.

BX (Bible Explorer)

Please continue to pray for this ministry as there are many teachers now in the Republic of Ireland that are presenting the gospel in Catholic Schools.  I will be traveling (Lord Willing) on Sept 11 back to Ireland and with this time hope to contact some schools and set up for teaching Bible Explorer. So please continue to pray for this that many schools may continue to remain open.

The Ongoing Work in N.America

The outreach for Vernon Assembly has been going fairly well with a good number coming to the home (evangelistic) bible study.  I have been teaching through the book of Romans and it has been received quite well . There have been a few unbelievers who have come to this as well and seem to enjoy hearing the word.  Pray again for this and also for the oversight in Vernon that the Lord would renew their vision for the work there.

Recently I was up at 100 Mile House for a week of training the saints for outreach in door to door and openair.  Along with this I also helped brother Rob Brennen with outreach. It was a good time of fellowship which consisted of door to door and going  to an Indian (First Nations) Reserve which Rob has spent much time in the past.  At the reserve there was a very good crowd everyday to (both play floor hockey) but also to hear the gospel message. We trust the Lord will bless His word which was sown.

Bible Camps

This summer I spoke at 2 flyfishing camps for teens (13-18) which went very well.  We trust the Lord would again bless the word spoken.  The really good part about this camp is that the campers are isolated for a whole week and so there is much opportunity to present the gospel without any outside distractions.

Also this past week I spoke at another teens camp for a week and again felt that many of the teens responded positively to the word spoken.  Again we trust the Lord would apply His word to their hearts.

Future outreaches

Lord willing I will be doing a seminar on evangelism on the labor day weekend at 100 mile House. Please pray with me that the Lord might use this to help believers to witness and evangelize the lost.

As stated earlier I plan (Lord Willing) to go back to Ireland Sept 11 till Sept 27th and with the time there I hope to both set up Bible Explorer times in schools as well as help with outreaches in Waterford.

In November  I  plan on going to Florida (Lord Willing)  to visit a number of Assemblies to tell of the work in Ireland and also spend a week teaching again on evangelism with an Assembly in Hollywood .

In Late Jan or early Feb  again (Lord Willing) I hope to go with brother Dan Webster to Ghana to help with some evangelism..  Daniel says that the door is WIDE OPEN RIGHT NOW there and feels that I might be able to be really used of the Lord.  Anyway we will continue to pray about all this as ask you to please remember us in prayer.

On the homefront

Jerry

Is continuing to enjoy having many friends in the area, and as I said before we have started doing some memory work and currently Jerry has memorized the first 28 verses of chapter 1 of Romans.  It is really amazing how he able to retain this.

Melody + Esther

Have met many new friends and continue to witness to them. They often bring them to church with them.  Both girls have helped at 2 different camps and also have been to girls camp this summer which they enjoyed very much.  Esther as well has helped her mom as a partner with her in a puppet ministry up at the bible camps  and have been greatly appreciated.

David

Has continued along with a few friends to be actively involved in evangelism on the streets to young people and is growing in the Lord. He recently has just put in his notice at Starbucks and is looking for a different job.  He has been offered a couple and would like prayer regarding this.  He wants to make sure he has much free time in order to continue to help with the youth at his church.

Sean and Valerie + Mila + Jenna

Sean has just recently started a cleaning business and has been kept quite busy with this and hopes this will give them some extra money and also some free time as they hope to have a few employees as well.  They also just purchased a home and hope to move in Sept 1st

Linda:

Has been busy with caring for her parents, children, husband etc… along with this she has helped at bible camp and also has done puppet ministry with Esther .  Currently she also has a bible study with 2 ladies at the chapel here and  they are all  thrilled to be able to study the word together.

Steven + Carly

Have just recently gotten married August 5th  and have just gotten back from there honeymoon and have moved into a condo in Kelowna .

Linda’s mom + Dad :

Linda’s mom has gone about ½ way with her chemo treatments and is doing fairly well considering.  Linda’s dad has had a bit of a setback with an infection in his neck and hasn’t felt well for a few days but overall seems to be a bit better than he was about a year ago.  Sadly there still hasn’t been any movement with them spiritually however, but Linda has had some good opportunities to tell them both of the Lord’s love and what is required in order to get to Heaven.

So again thanks so much for all you do on our behalf  in His Grace Tim for the Hoods

Work in Ireland

Waterford Assembly    The work continues right along in our absence with David Wilson and  also Matt Wright working with the people.  Although they have had a few ups and downs the Lord continues to bless and we have seen a few new folks coming to the meeting a couple which just moved from South Africa who were saved a year ago are now in the fellowship.  The other believers continue to grow also in the Lord.

Home bible study

In Ireland the home study continues to be a blessing with many coming to this and we trust as the scriptures continue to be opened that the Lord would bless and that it might cause some to trust in Him and also others to grow in Him.

TNT Team

The team is just now arriving to do work first they are going to NCW for 8 days and then 8 days in Waterford the reason for the split is that the team is small usually about 24-30 people his year there were only 17 and so they only made 2 teams and so have split their time between Waterford and NCW.  Please pray for the work they are going to do and all the seed that will be sown you can read more about them at http://www.tntteams.org/

BX (Bible Explorer)

Please continue to pray for this ministry as there are many teachers now in the republic of Ireland that are presenting the gospel in Catholic Schools also please pray for me (Tim) as I hope to go back to Ireland in September to get into as many schools as I can.\

The Ongoing Work in N.America

Since our return to Canada we have been fairly busy after our arrival On March 9th (19hrs after leaving Ireland we got to our first destination Vancouver the last  2 ½  by car) the following day I spent looking for a vehicle and PTL I managed to find one very quickly and before the day was out we had our (new to us) 2000 Dodge Caravan licensed and ready to go.  At 3 in the morning we also were awakened to great news that we just became grandparents... to a lovely granddaughter Mila Redemption. So the next day we loaded up all our gear and headed up to the Okanogan valley where we got in about 3 pm we then had to take all our things out of storage and set up our home here… Visit our daughter and granddaughter and …..Phew well after a few days we managed to get most things sorted out.

Since coming back to Westbank I (Tim) have been kept busy with giving reports on the work in Ireland and preaching in various Assemblies. Just  recently the children and I went on a trip to California for 18 days. On the way I preached in Seattle , 2 churches in Oregon along with 3 places in California . At first Linda stayed behind because she had to look after her parents who both have cancer, but after the first 10 days Linda was able to come. She drove to Seattle and then flew to California where we met her and then she came back with us and so she was able to be with us for ½ of the trip.  We had a great time on the trip meeting new friends (the Peltiers in Seattle) and old friends (the Jansens in Oregon, and the Eason’s in Sacramento) and then when we got to Los Angeles we were able to spend a week with the Krieger’s (Max+Beth)  we all thoroughly enjoyed our time away and I also had a great time ministering in various Assemblies on the way down the coast and then also on the way back.

New outreaches planned

After ministering at Vernon and talking with the oversight there I agreed to come and start an evangelistic home bible study which will be interactive. We hope that with this format it might be very profitable and help the Assembly to grow so we would value your prayers for this

We also are going to start to have a home bible study here in our home on Sunday evening as there is no evening service anymore at the chapel we feel that this might be helpful so again we value your prayers we hope to start in 2 weeks.

Other outreaches planned are 2 fly fishing camps this summer and also one other bible camp where I will be speaking along with planned gospel outreaches at 100 mile house in August and also in Hollywood Florida in November.  Also in Surrey B.C the Assembly has 2 planned gospel evening where I will be preaching so again these are all Lord Willing and we would love to have you pray  for these planned efforts in the gospel

On the homefront

Jerry

is enjoying being here as there are many children his age around the neighborhood, he also got to play ball hockey for his first time and really enjoyed it. On a spiritual level we are currently just starting to memorize in Romans and he has 3 verses memorized and always asked good questions about the Lord.  Just today there were some JW’s going about the neighborhood and as I was watching them from our front window (they avoided coming to our house) Jerry said to me “they are bringing a false gospel right dad ?” Poor lost souls…  out of the mouth of babes…

Melody + Esther

They had a blast on there trip but now are doing double duty getting caught up on there homework and school.  They continue to progress and are really enjoying there time back home.  They also continue to reach out to there many new friends and have brought 4 different ones to church on different occasions.

David

is studying for his final exam coming up next month and is continuing to work at Starbucks and is living at home.  Just recently while playing on the trampoline David did a backflip and ended up landing on the metal bar he thought he broke his back and it took him about 15 minutes to be able to get off of the trampoline and as he was coughing up some blood we brought him into emergency where they took several x-rays but they all proved to be negative for which we PTL… Although he still is very sore he is very grateful to God for sparing him.

Steven + Carly

have just finished there bible school which they both enjoyed immensely  and are now on a short term mission trip to Albania .  They will be there for 3 weeks and hope to be used of the Lord while there.  They both look forward to August 6th  where they will wed (Lord Willing)

Sean and Valerie

have been kept quite busy with the new baby (see photos below) and all that entails.  They also had a tragedy in that Sean’s grandfather died suddenly in Jamaica and both Sean and Valerie + Mila flew over to England to be with Sean’s grandmother and then to attend the funeral. Although they were unsure about Sean’s grandfather’s final destiny, Sean was able to give a challenging gospel message at the funeral.

Linda:

continues with home schooling looking after the household and also has started a bible study with a friend Laurie.  Her health has improved somewhat upon her return with no problems now with breathing although she still has some struggles with the fibromyalgia.

Linda’s mom + Dad :    Linda’s mom has just finished the first month of chemo and is pretty weak but other than that seems fairly good.  Linda’s dad just had another operation and with this one it was so that he would be able to possibly eat again.  The operation proved to be partly successful however he still hasn’t been able to eat real solid food yet.  He is however drinking a bit and learning to use the muscles in his mouth and jaw again and we hope in the future they will be able to take him off of the stomach feed tube which he has bee on for over a year but this is still a while down the road. His mental health seems good although he still struggles with short term memory loss and gets disorientated easily but we continue to see some improvement even there.  Now we pray and continue to ask you to pray that the Lord would breakthrough to both Jean’s and Larry’s hard hearts and they would see there need for Him.

We are again reminded that we battle not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers.

So therefore we read in James 5:16b " The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" so we say Thanks for all your prayers on our behalf.

Yours because of Calvary Tim + Linda Hood + Family

1Co 3:6  I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

Baptism’s

As with the above verse we rejoice to see the Lord building His church here in Waterford; What a thrill and joy to our hearts to see our daughter Melody and the Wilson’s daughter Rachel and 6  other people desire to follow the Lord in obedience to His word by being baptized.  We were able to hire a pool near us to perform the baptisms and it was really thrilling to hear their testimonies.  The others who were baptized are Marion , Lydia , Daniela, Ciaran, Michael, and Jerry. These are all fairly new believers and like I said it is thrilling to see them growing in the Lord. I will include one testimony for you just so you can again rejoice with us.

Hi , my name is Lidia Zagrean. I came from a Christian family in Romania but this is not the reason I am a Christian now.

I left Romania because of material reasons and for more than 3 years,   entered a new world. One that was different from the one that I grew up  in.  Day by day my life descended down a path  far away from God living a sinful life.  Money became everything to me and I forgot about God.

I was trying to find happiness with my friends and parties but I found myself more alone and empty inside after the    “fun “ was over.

Discouraged and depressed with loads of problems in my head, I was trying to figure out how to fix up the mess that I had gotten myself into.

I went for a walk to the Waterford city centre to try to clear my head and get some air.  BUT SURPRISE  !!!! In the square was a man with some signs who was preaching.  I stopped suddenly….  And was very afraid and touched deeply:….  Realizing that God knows ALL my sins.

After talking with Tim I realized just how bad my life was and I kept repeating to Tim   that “I am very Bad Girl!!”

Later Tim arranged for a Romanian lady Daniela to phone me and talk with me. After telling her  of my bad situation,  she told the Hood’s who helped me by giving me a place to  stay with them.

While living at the Hood’s and being again in a Christian home,,, made me realize that  I needed God in my life. One night on Nov 12 /2005 Tim was able to show me from the Bible how I can know for sure that I can go to Heaven if I simply believe and trust what God says . He showed me Acts 2: 21     “ and it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. “  I then prayed and trusted Jesus my Lord. And asked him to be the Lord of my life.

Soon after this Tim asked if I would like to do a Bible study on Baptism. He invited Daniela to help to interpret and this is why now I am getting baptized as I want to follow the Lord in what He has told us to do.

Assembly news

We are going to start breaking bread in Waterford this Sunday Feb 5th and we are quite excited.  We just finished 3 days of teaching on what the Assembly is and it seemed to be received very well of course the roles of men and women in the Assembly meetings met with some resistance and we just stressed that we just want to follow the scriptures teaching in regards to this regardless of how the world would see this.

We will also continue with the Sunday evening gospel outreaches at Dooley’s Hotel.

Outreaches

Open-air

we continue to faithfully sow seed in Waterford by either distributing tracts or by preaching and often get into good conversations.  Someone asked me once “is it fruitful”  My reply was although we have seen fruit from this “Cairan” is one example along with others.  We feel that this is a great means of proclaiming the Lord and fulfilling the commission and also resting in the fact that “ Faith comes from hearing and hearing from the word of God Rom 10:17 .

Door to Door

Again we try to get out to homes at least twice a week and bring the gospel to the doorstep.  Here again we have had SO MANY good conversations we just trust and pray that as it says in Isa 55:11  so shall My Word be, which goes out of My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall certainly do what I sent it to do.

Bible Explorer

I just finished training to be able to teach the New Testament and I have my first booking I start this Monday in a school here.  I am thrilled about this as it will be great to see how the kids respond to “second birth Nicodemus ” woman at the well along with many other stories.  It goes right through the New Test ending with Paul’s missionary journeys.  So again please pray for me in this.

Family news

As you know we are planning on leaving on March 9th to go back to Canada for furlough and would really value your prayers as there are many things here and also over in Canada that are needed to be done so that the transition would be a smooth one. As you can imagine moving a family can be very stressful please pray that we would allow the Prince of Peace to give us His peace…

David has been back now in Canada for almost a month and although he misses Ireland and his friends he is getting settled into life in Canada .  He now has 2 jobs (thanks for your prayers in this) and is thankful to the Lord for this and is currently living with his sister.

Esther, Melody and Jerry on one hand are looking forward to going to Canada to be reunited with there older brothers and sister and also they are thrilled about the thought of being “Auntie’s” (girls) and an uncle Jerry.  But on the other hand they have lots of friends here that they will I’m sure miss a lot and I think it will be somewhat hard for them over the next few months so again we would value your prayers

Val + Sean

Val + Sean continue to serve in their church and are working with the youth.  Valerie just finished working and has taken Maternity leave.  Their baby is Due March 9 same day as our arrival J.  Everything at this point is going well with the pregnancy and the baby is head first at the moment.  Again we would value your prayers for a safe delivery.

Steven and Carly continue with  Bible school and they both like it a lot.  They both keep quite busy as they also work part-time in order to pay for the schooling.   The plan for them is to get married in the summer.

Linda’s dad  Since the last update has seen some improvement as he is now living in a care home facility.  The nurses there care for him and make sure he gets regular feedings and his medicine.  David has visited him a few times since returning and says he is in good spirits and looks somewhat improved.  Please continue to pray.

Update on the work in Ireland

Assembly news in Ireland

Killkenny   The Assembly continues to go along well and we see a continual desire among the people to reach out to the lost, which is great.  They will hand out 3000  calendars in KK this fall as well as the continual door to door outreach they are doing.

Waterford    The Sunday evening meeting has been a bit better attended currently we are giving an overview of the Old Testament and we are going basically book by book for 2 Sundays and the first Sunday we have a gospel meeting and the third we show a gospel video. We also will be starting to hand out calendars in November and December with over 12,000 to distribute

Home bible study

We just finished the book of Acts and have now just started Romans and have been encouraged greatly of late as we have had several newcomers come to the study.  A few Wed nights ago we had 24 people and we are getting on average about 15 each Wed for which we PTL.  We plan after the teaching on the Old Testament (On Sunday evenings) to teach about what the Church is and what it isn’t.  We started before to do this but stopped, as we didn’t have too many committed believers at the time and concentrated instead on presenting the gospel as we were still getting a few unsaved out.   Since now we seem to have some committed believers we are hoping that perhaps after the teaching on the Church that it will be the Lord’s timing to establish a meeting here.  Please pray with us in this.

Door to Door work

The last 2 weeks we have been doing the doors as a team as there is now a brother Jon Hewitt who has been commended to the work here for a year from N. Ireland who along with David Wilson and Matt Wright and some other local believers (when they are not working) help to do doors on Thursday.  It is nice to be able to put aside a day to do this outreach collectively.  Jon has also come and helped me as well on other days.  Again here each time we go out we get into good conversations and are able to tell people what they must do in order to go to God’s Heaven.

The Open air work

This work has continued every week I usually preach in Waterford center on the Friday and on the Saturdays I try to go to various towns to share of the matchless grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Again here each time out we hand out 4- 500 hundred tracts.  Linda comes and helps with tract distribution and the children too help out.  Again here we get into many good chats and trust the Lord would bless both the spoken word and the written word which is given out.

BX (Bible Explorer)

Thanks SO MUCH for your prayers the Lord has really blessed in this ministry.  I have had the opportunity of teaching in 4 new schools, along with 3 other schools that I also taught in last year.  Currently I have 2 other new schools which have booked the program but I still haven’t started in them yet.

Currently  I just finished with the last lessons in the 4 new schools (5 classes) and at the end of the lessons I was also able to leave a New Testament with each of the students and also one with the teachers.  In total I have given out a little over 200.  I also have 3 other classes still ongoing as well so I Again  would value prayers for the seed sown and also that the Lord would still yet open even more doors for this ministry. I have prayed for 10 new schools and so far I have gotten 7 so still 3 to go.

On the homefront

Jerry  is learning his ABC and Linda is teaching him this with a song that goes ABCDEFG God is good to you and me HIJKLMN He sent His Son to die for menn… J.  It is really cute to hear him sing this and it is also great to hear him learning about the Lord Jesus.

Melody + Esther

Are now working away at there school and still enjoying the good weather we have been having.  They have met many children who live in the area and are enjoying being with them .

David   Is just doing his last year of high school ( he actually is just finishing 1 last subject before he graduates)  But just recently received some VERY BAD news.  He went into get his passport stamped (we do this every year) after receiving his stamp when I checked his passport I noticed the stamp was different than the stamp from last year as last year’s stamp allowed him to work part time because he is a student.  This year’s stamp however didn’t have this so upon my enquiry we have now learned that there is new legislation that came into effect in August that won’t allow for him to work at all.   So at this point we are really uncertain as to what to do so we would really value your prayers for him and his uncertain future here.

Steven    Has now started bible school and he also is working part time in Carpentry.  He still looks forward to the end of the school year as he plans to marry Carly in June of 06.

Sean and Valerie  Val and Sean are both doing well and the pregnancy is also going well for Val they are both working and are looking forward to having there baby in March

Linda:   continues with home schooling looking after the household and also has 2 bible studies with 2 ladies .  Her Fibromyalgia hasn’t been too bad but her breathing lately has been bothering her a lot and she has to use the puffers quite a bit.  She continues to press on

Linda’s mom + Dad :   Linda’s dad is still in rough shape and also of late seems to be losing his mind possibly because of the medication he is on but he sure isn’t himself at all.  We continue to pray that he along with Linda’s mom would soften to the gospel as of yet though neither has.  Please again join us in prayer for this.

Sept 12, 2005

Greetings everyone in the name of our Lord  Jesus Christ

Update on the work in Ireland

NIV Jam 5:16b  The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Assembly news in Ireland

Killkenny   The week of gospel tent meetings went very well with a number of unsaved out each night. There also was one man Liam who made a profession of faith and has come out to a few meetings since but please pray for him that there would be a reality in the profession.  All in all I would say it was great as many unsaved heard the word of life and also the saints in Kilkenny rallied to the cause and have been encouraged by this and are even more zealous now in witnessing to there families and friends.

Waterford    The baptism went well the Lord held back the rain for us and it was a great time. Graham shared his testimony of how he was saved and that he now wanted to follow the Lord in Baptism we were a bit disappointed however as we were hoping  a couple of others who are saved but not baptized would also have obeyed the Lord but this was not to be.  In the Sunday evening meetings we still have very few committed people coming so again we would value your prayers

Home bible study

We continue with the study in Acts and have been encouraged of late as a newcomer who goes to the local Baptist Church (Gaston) has been coming and also has brought 4 friends 2 of which were believers from the B.Church but the other 2 were Palestinians (Muslim background) Emad and Ali who are here as Asylum seekers are both very open to the gospel.  Just this past week Emad made a profession of faith for which we PTL.  Gaston who had been witnessing to them for the past month purchased a new testament in Arabic for them which they read and read and it seems the light of the Glory of God shone through to Emad’s heart and he surrendered his life to Christ.  Ali although not yet saved is still very open to the gospel and when we heard that  the baptism was to be on Saturday he cut his time short from his visit to Dublin just to be back  in time to see the baptism.

Door to Door work

Mat 21:16  And they said to Him, Do you hear what these say? And Jesus said to them, Yes, have you never read, "Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings You have perfected praise?"

While doing the doors I had an interesting time the other day.  Linda had gone out and so Jeremiah came with me as I went on the doors.  Within a moment of talking to the first person on the door Jerry asked the lady if she was a Christian, she responded with “yes” to which he said are you saved though?  With this second question she didn’t know how to respond so I took over the conversation from there and explained what Saving faith was all about.  After leaving the house Jerry looked at me and said “she isn’t saved is she dad”  PTL he knows the difference..

The Open air work

This work has continued every week and each week brings forth many new contacts and many opportunities to tell of His love.  Linda and the children continue to help me with tract distribution and  they to have had many great talks.

BX (Bible Explorer)

Thanks SO MUCH for your prayers the Lord has blessed and I have now booked 4 new schools to which I will teach (I have started already in 3) the bible explorer program. I have asked the Lord for 10 new schools so please continue to pray and lets see what the Lord will do.

On the homefront

Jerry  has now just started school he is excited about this J.  He also continues to play with his many new friends as a few new families have moved into the estate.

Melody + Esther

Have now started back with school and are just starting to get used to this again.

David   please continue to pray that David would know what to do for his future as I said before he still is unsure at this point what he would like to do.  Also he still hasn’t received his marks from last year.

Steven    Is just about to start bible school in Kelowna and we would value your prayers for him as he plans to work part-time for his employer as well.  Just pray that he would be able to manage his time well and wouldn’t get to stressed or burned out.  He looks forward to the end of the school year as he plans to marry Carly in June of 06.

Sean and Valerie  have just gone on a vacation (there 1st anniversary) to LA. Please pray they would have journeys mercies traveling.  Also so far everything is going well with the pregnancy  Val and the baby are both doing well.

Linda:   continues with home schooling looking after the household and also has a bible study with Marion.  Her health hasn’t gotten any worse and although she still struggles with breathing she is on an inhaler she hasn’t had too much problems with her fibromyalgia.

Linda’s mom + Dad :   We don’t have to much in the way of news here Linda’s dad isn’t able to talk very well without being in much pain so we haven’t been able to find out the extent of the cancer.  We have asked Linda’s sister Debbie for more info or the doctors name as she is directly involved with them and thus would know everything. but she refuses to tell us anything and asked us NOT to contact her again. So we will just leave it with the Lord and please join us in praying for them all.

Here is a picture of the baptism I know it isn’t very good sorry L

(notice all the surfers looking on )

Thanks for all your prayers on our behalf.

Acts 26:28 Then Agrippa said unto  Paul, Almost you persuade me to be a Christian

Outreach in N. Ireland Co. Armagh

This past week I was up in N. Ireland doing a series of children’s meetings and also the gospel on the Sunday night. Just after going across the border to the North “seemingly immediately” we noticed sign boards with gospel texts with “ye must be born again” and John 3:16 and many other ones it seemed they were everywhere at least to me anyway.  I thought for a moment what am I doing up here these people have heard and know this message very well. The following night I preached the gospel at the Kileen Gospel Hall and to my amazement there were about 12 unsaved people who came to hear the message of life and afterwards I had a very good conversation with Daerfla (not sure of how it is spelled J) who said she had really enjoyed the message. So I asked her “are you saved” her reply was “No but I want to be”. So I then said to her well that’s interesting you say you want to be saved and God says He wants to save you so where do you think the problem is then?  After sharing more from the scriptures and again going over the gospel she said that she now realized that she had the problem and not God.  I again pleaded with her about her soul but sadly she went away still not saved.  Which reminded me of the scripture above where King Agrippa after hearing Paul’s preaching about Christ “almost” got saved, this of course means that he and anyone else who is “ALMOST SAVED” is actually TOTALLY LOST in other words they would go to the same Hell as someone who HATES God or doesn’t even believe in God.  It really is a sobering thought isn’t it that if they die in this state they will share a Christ-less Eternity in the Lake of Fire.

The children’s meetings went very well with about 100 kids on average each night for the 5 nights again we trust the Holy Spirit will take the seed sown and stir the hearts of the children.  Quite a few new contacts were made from the meetings as on the last might they had a barbeque and invited the parents to come and some did and were keen to have someone visit them for the bible study. The believers there would value your prayers for these contacts and also the seed sown.

Assembly news in Ireland

Killkenny   Currently this week we are having a gospel outreach with gospel meetings every evening at 8:00pm and also children’s meeting which run during the daytime. Then meetings so far have been well attended and it has been very encouraging to see the believers with a great desire to see there fellow countrymen won to Christ.

Waterford    We continue to meet each Sunday night and again here have seen some different ones come along to the meetings.  One believer who has been coming for a few months Graham Eddy who is from Nigeria I have been having a one on one study with and after some teaching is now desiring to be baptized so please pray for him. We also hope a couple of other people who have made professions will also desire to follow the Lord in Baptism.

Home bible study

We continue to go through Acts and again the people seem to enjoy the format, which is an open discussional bible study.

Door to Door work

Here again I have made quite a few new contacts and hope to get back to some of these soon. Often I find that after the second or third time calling back to see people you then get a better understanding of if they are really interested in the gospel or just being friendly to you.

The Open air work

This work has continued every week and each week brings forth many new contacts and many opportunities to tell of His love.  Also while up North we preached each day in the town of Armagh and again had some good conversations along with many tracts which were handed out.

BX (Bible Explorer)

Please pray the doors will remain open for this work and that I might be able to get into many more schools.

On the homefront

Jerry  Continues to race around on his bike and now has a few new friends as some new people have moved into the neighborhood J

Melody + Esther

Are enjoying the time off from school and playing with friends in the housing estate here.

David   is back to work and still is a bit uncertain as to what he wants to do after this coming year. He will finish his high school this year as he only has one subject left and after this he is uncertain what to do so please pray for him.

Steven    Is continuing with his apprenticeship in carpentry and this fall hopes to go to Bible College.  His boss who is a believer is encouraging him to do this and says he will have a job waiting for him when he finishes.  Steven is now engaged and he and “Carly” hope to be married sometime in June 06 after he finishes bible school.

Sean and Valerie  are expecting there 1 child and so we are delighted to think about the possibility of becoming grand parents yikes!!  Both are continuing with their work and Valerie hopes to get maternity leave after she has the baby Lord Willing in March 2006

Linda’s health:   She continues to have problems breathing upon arriving back here. Linda has been trying many different herbal remedies but so far hasn’t found anthing that really helps her. She continues to press on however and keeps busy with keeping the household and she also is currently having to one on one bible studies one is with a young girl Mauve (14) who recently has gotten saved and also Marion who was saved about a year ago. Marion who use to come to our Wed night study but because of work has been unable to attend really enjoys the one on one with Linda.

Linda’s mom + Dad :  Linda’s parents have moved house now and are in a condo which means no more lawn care etc for Linda’s dad which will be good. They did manage to move everything over without getting to stressed as you know moving can be very hectic and are now quite happy and getting settled into their condo. Linda’s dad’s recent operation went well and the attending physician said he got almost all of the cancer.  This was good news to Larry but he continues to suffer with much pain when he tries to eat anything at all.  And so again we would just ask for your prayers.

Update on the work in Ireland

1Co 3:6-7  I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.  So then neither is he that plants any thing, neither he that waters; but God that gives the increase.

Assembly news in Ireland

Killkenny   Again here it is encouraging with the growth in the believers and seeing them desiring to win people to Christ.

Waterford    We have been encouraged over the past several weeks.  The team of course being here helped a great deal and we have seen a few new faces showing up for meetings which is encouraging.  We continue to press along and have spent much of the last month starting with creation and giving an overview of the bible which has been received well by those attending.

Home bible study

We are currently going verse by verse through Acts and are now in Acts 18. We continue to see a good number coming to the study.  Please pray with us that the Lord’s word would do its work in the heart of those attending.  Just recently Jerry who has come off and on made a profession of faith and seems to be really delighted and you can visibly see a great change in his countenance.  Please uphold him in prayer as he suffers from depression and already has come under persecution.

Door to Door work

I am continuing to go door to door.  We have been able with the team over the last few weeks to deliver about 9,000 Via’s and also some gospel texts please pray for all this seed sown.  Also given out were 10,000 invites to the meetings along with about 5,000 – 10,000 tracts which were distributed in the openair.    Pray now for the follow up with some new contacts which were made when the team was here and also ones that I have had in the past.

The Open air work

We have continued to preach in Waterford Square on Fridays. And I have gone to some various towns on the Saturdays, which again have given way to many good conversations about the Savior.  With the team here for 3 weeks we concentrated on Waterford and so we spent both Fridays and Saturdays here.  Again it was great to have a team helping us and taking turns preaching with the sketch board.  We also set up the preaching stand and held another open-air with it at the same time in another area of the square the responses again were great.  What were they you might ask well some said interesting some GET LOST others were indifferent but all in all He was Glorified and that’s what truly matters.  What a great feeling it is to know you bring joy to the heart of God by publicly declaring His Son who is LORD OF ALL.

BX (Bible Explorer)

The door here continues to remain open in the schools   and I see it as a great opportunity to sow seed into the hearts of young people.  I have now completed the 5 one-hour lessons in 4 elementary schools.  The response has been great with the last lesson I asked the principal to come in and see what the children learned and the children were able to do the 77 hand signs in front of her and she looked astonished and said “oh if you could only teach them to do this with math and English!  Please pray that this door would remain open and we could be given even more opportunities to bring the word to children here.  Often now when I am preaching in town or doing the doors I come across children who have done the Bible Explorer program with me and they seem thrilled to see me so again I would ask you to pray for this ministry.

Tnt team

Of course here we have been quite busy as we had a team over from N. America and we did a series of meetings which spanned 6 nights starting with creation and then ending with “The Final Judgment”.

Some have asked has it been good?   Here this depends as I said on the final night, which we saw our biggest crowd, which included the team and our regulars and 5 newcomers was 22.  Whether we want to look at things through God’s eyes or the world.  I said to the people when I was in business and I put on a promotion and sent out 10,000 invitations and had a team talking about it to people and at the promotion I only had 22 people I would say it was an out an out disaster..  But thankfully we can look at it knowing as the scripture says “We plant and water but it is GOD who adds the increase!  It sure takes away all the pressure doesn’t it we just need to be faithful in proclaiming His word.

On the homefront

Jerry  has recently learned how to ride his 2 wheeler without training wheels and is enjoying racing around here.  We also celebrated his 5 birthday on the 4th and he said “now I will catch up to my friend Favor and be older than him” Anyway we had to tell him that he could never catch up as Favor is 9 months older than him he seemed to take the news fairly well J

Melody + Esther   Are now finished school (well actually Esther will be done later this week but is almost finished) And so they now are busy playing with there friends here in the housing estate and are starting to enjoy the summer off from school.

David   has finished writing his exams and is now back to work at his job at the sports store.  He awaits to here how he did and feels he didn’t do very well but we will wait and see.  He still has one more course to complete next year to graduate. Please pray for direction for David what to do after school is finished as he at this time is undecided what to do.

Steven    Is continuing with his apprenticeship in carpentry and this fall hopes to go to bible college.  His boss who is a believer is encouraging him to do this and says he will have a job waiting for him when he finishes.

Sean and Valerie  are still working with the youth and are trying a few new ways to outreach to youth in there area with barbeques and such.  Sean has just recently started a Christian T-shirt business and has made some designs and is selling them at various youth rallies.  They continue to work at there local church and are still looking to the Lord for further opportunities.

Linda’s health:   Linda’s  fibromaligia  hasn’t bothered her too much most days and her breathing has been fairly good since she has been back in Canada.  Upon her return to see her dad she has come under tremendous oppression from Satan as her sister has been extremely ignorant to her even kicking Linda out of her house while she was visiting her dad.  Please continue to uphold her as it is difficult first to see her dad in the condition he is in and with NO HOPE she has tried to witness to him but at present he is not interested and is quite mad at God for his condition.

Linda’s mom + Dad :  Linda’s mom’s cancer seems to be in remission but as stated Linda’s dad isn’t doing very well and still is unable to eat without tremendous pain. Just recently Linda watched him as he tried to eat some soup and he was grimacing with the 2 bites he managed to eat.  Here again we would just say we value all your prayers in regard to this.

May 28th 2005

We pray that He will abundantly bless all your efforts for His own names sake. Please continue to press on while it is still day perhaps before 2005 is over we may see our Great God and Savior face to face.

Because of Calvary Tim *__*

*_Update on the work in Ireland_*

*_Assembly news in Ireland_*

*Killkenny * Since our last update, which included the 11 baptisms, the saints continue to grow in Kilkenny with a real desire to see souls won to the Lord, which is very encouraging.

*Waterford * The Sunday evening meetings have grown in attendance a small bit. We hope that over the summer months many more will come. We continue to get a few new people in and pray the Lord would bless in this regard.

*_Home bible study_*

We are continuing in the book of Acts and see a good number coming to the study. We are looking for the Lord to use this to speak to hearts. We might see some come to know the Lord through this study. Others who are saved can be built up and going on for the Lord.

*_Door to Door work _*

I am continuing to go door to door. Currently I am doing a distribution of via magazines along with a tract in the mornings. I also try to knock on doors in the afternoons whenever possible and through this have had many good opportunities to share the gospel message. Right now there is a new DVD that was made with Irish testimonies on it that I have been using on the doors which is being received with interest. We trust the Lord would use this to draw people to himself.

*_The Open air work_*

We again continue to preach in Waterford Square on Fridays. Saturdays I have started back again to go to various towns that are within an hour or so driving - of Waterford. Often it has been just my family with me- Linda playing her guitar with gospel music,, giving out tracts,,, and then I preach. Jerry has also had a turn at the microphone to tell about Jesus. We have been greatly encouraged by the Lord both Fridays and Saturdays. He always gets us a place to park (which can be very difficult here)- good weather to be able to preach (which is really unbelievable for here!)-- And have seen His protection and guidance as He keeps the enemy away and allows us to proclaim the gospel through song and preaching. Each time out we have had many good talks with people and continue to distribute thousands of tracts.

The door here continues to remain open in the schools and I see it as a great opportunity to sow seed into the hearts of young people. I have now completed the 5 one hour lessons in 3 elementary schools. I am currently in the middle of a fourth class, which will be my last for this school year. Please continue to pray for this, that hearts would be touched. Often the students recognize me when I am preaching in the square and come to say hello. Please pray that this door would remain open and I could get into more schools for next year.

*_Shorterm CoWorkers_*

We were delighted to have Kelly Anderson join with us in the work here for 6 weeks it was a real blessing as Kelly helped with door to door and openair (she is seen in the photo with my daughters) We are always thankful to the Lord for who He raises up to help in the work. Please pray for Kelly to know God’s perfect will for her life as she desires to serve Him.

*_Tnt team _*

* *The arrival of Ron Hampton’s team from N. America will be May 27th and they will be here for 3 weeks. The team will be involved with evangelism in door to door, open air, children’s clubs and home bible studies. Please pray that their hearts will be close to the Savior and that they will all be used effectively by the Lord.

*_On the homefront_ *

*Jerry * has started with the ABC’s of schooling and Linda is teaching him the alphabet. He has progressed to colouring and staying within the lines. He continues to be very active about the house and loves to play with his toys and just being a little boy..

*Melody + Esther * Are looking forward to summer or in other words….. no more school!! Then they can play with their friends . There are quite a few children in the housing estate where we live.

*David * is getting ready to write his final exams and so is kept busy with this and also working at the sporting goods store. He is also making a skate video, and so does a lot of filming and crashing on his skateboard. He and his mom are going back to Canada for the month of June so he can write his finals. He would also appreciate your prayers for his schooling.

*Steven * has just recently gotten engaged to a lovely young lady named Carly. They plan to marry sometime next year. Carly has a car and Steve gets to drive it now. Just one of the perks! Actually they are a good match ,, and the Lord has answered our prayers for a godly help mate for our son.

*Sean and Valerie* are still working with the youth but recently have shut down the drop –in- center as they have felt it has finished its purpose. They are looking to the Lord for guidance for future ministries, and continue to serve in their church.

*Linda’s health:* Linda’s fibromaligia hasn’t bothered her too much most days and her breathing has been fairly good again most days. She continues to take many herbal medicines that seem to help her and exercise is a great benefit. She is also getting ready to go back to Canada for June and there are always lots of things to get ready so she would value your prayers.

*Linda’s mom + Dad :* Linda’s mom’s cancer seems to be in remission but Linda’s dad has now completed his radiation treatments We have recently heard that they were unable to get all the cancer and currently he is too weak to get any more treatment. I guess he is unable to get around on his own and is using a walker and hasn’t eaten anything for 8 weeks now (they have inserted a feeding tube which feeds him) There is a lot of pain in the throat area and so he doesn’t want to swallow. The communication on all this is second hand from Linda’s mom as Linda has been unable to talk to her dad directly.

*_Praise items _*

1. For Sunday evening and new people coming

2. For an opening in the schools with BX

We are again reminded that we battle not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers. So therefore we read in James 5:16b " /The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much/" so we say Thanks for all your prayers on our behalf.

Update on the work in Ireland

Assembly news in Ireland

Killkenny   It has been just great to see the Lord working in this Assembly just recently there were 11 baptisms (the largest in the short history of this meeting) for which we all rejoiced it was great to see som many want to take this step of obedience.  Pray with us that they would all go on to maturity in the Lord and be greatly used of our God.

Waterford    Again not much to report here the Sunday evening meetings haven’t been greatly attended but we do thank the Lord for those who do come and please pray with us that the Lord would work in Hearts and that some might be saved.

Home bible study

We have continued on  in the book of Acts just finishing chapter 12 and it has been very enlightening to all and we have had some great discussions after the study as well.

Door to Door work

I continue to press on with the door to door work and am convinced this is still one of the best ways of sharing the gospel as each time I go out I have opportunities to preach the word and often people have responded with I have NEVER heard that before.   It amazes me that so simple a message has never been heard by so many people.

The Open air work

Again as stated many times in past we continue to press on with preaching concentrating on Waterford city twice weekly and again here are thankful for many one on one talks resulting from the preaching and tract distribution.

BX (Bible Explorer)

Some have asked what is involved in this outreach; it is done in the local schools (Catholic of course) so firstly it is very difficult to even get in.  The reason for this is often it has to pass through the hands of the local Priest.   The Lord though has opened the door and I am currently in one school (boys) and am starting another school on Monday.  The course is 5 one-hour lessons, which start with Creation and teach the Old Testament finishing with the cross.  Each lesson gives many opportunities to preach Christ from the Old Testament (without straying from the criteria) for which I rejoice it also leaves the children with a good overview of the Old Testament.    Should the Lord tarry and we get another year here I hope to get into many schools for next year and have heard from many that they might be willing to try it next year so again please continue to pray.

On the homefront

Melody + Esther and  Jerry  have thoroughly enjoyed now having there older sister and (new brother) here for a spell and they will greatly miss them both when they return to Canada next week.

David   is kept pretty busy with working and also trying to do his school work he has to go back to Canada in June to write his final exams and I’m sure he would be grateful for your prayers.

Steven    is still working hard as a carpenter’s apprentice and is saving up to possibly go to bible school in the fall.

Sean and Valerie  are enjoying there time over here and have been kept pretty busy visiting Valerie’s friends and also going to England for a week to visit with Sean’s grand parents.  Valerie’s best friend over here Rebecca Toal (formerly Von-Meding) has just had a baby girl and so they are visiting and rejoicing with them (Ian + Rebecca).

Linda’s health:   Linda’s  fibromaligia  hasn’t bothered her too much most days and her breathing has been fairly good again most days.  She continues to take many herbal medicines that seem to help her.

Linda’s mom + Dad :  Linda’s mom’s cancer seems to be in remission but Linda’s dad is 6 weeks into a seven week intensive everyday radiation treatment for his cancer.  This has resulted in some complications and recently he had to be hospitalized and his medication of morphine had to be upped significantly.  Again we would value your prayers and please pray the Lord would use this to draw Larry to himself.

Praise items

1.                    For the work in Kilkenny with the baptism’s

2.                   For a time with Valerie and Sean

3.                   For an opening in the schools with BX

So again dear brethren please continue to uphold us at the Throne of Grace

We are again reminded that we battle not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers.

So therefore we read in James 5:16b " The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" so we say Thanks for all your prayers on our behalf. And also we read in Ezekiel 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the Gap for the land, that I should not destroy it:

We are again so thankful for all of you fellow prayer warriors that you are doing just that.

Update on the work in Ireland

Assembly news in Ireland

Not too much to report here since our last update.  The Sunday evenings haven’t been as well attended as we have hoped but we still are managing to get a few out.  We would certainly covet your prayers for this and all the work we hope to do here.

In Killkenny things are going quite well just recently they had another youth weekend and there were 58 young people from around the country that came for fellowship and ministry.  The Assembly still continues to be quite active in evangelism with the elders going on doors on Saturdays and others having many personal opportunities to share one on one with people.  There is also a bible study in one of the homes for unsaved or newly saved people.  So again we are greatly encouraged with the meeting.

Home bible study

Now that we have started and are well in to the book of Acts (currently in chapter 9)  It is great to see the ones who are coming getting a far better understanding of the word of God.  Many have said they enjoy the format and the interaction that happens.  It also has been good to teach why we are trying to start a new work here and “why” we feel it necessary to do so rather than perhaps joining with one of the existing churches that are here.   Here too it has been great to just show what God’s word says in relation to the church.

Door to Door work

I have continued going forth and have had some great opportunities again sharing the word of God and why people need to be saved and how they can be.  I marvel at all the people I have met here who have NEVER really been told the gospel or certainly haven’t understood it.  Many times at the end of conversations I ask “Does that make some sense?”  Almost always the response is yes I never really had it explained to me before.

The Open air work

We continue to press on twice weekly preaching the wonderful news of the man of Calvary.  Again here almost every time out we get opportunities to explain the gospel.  Also  weekly between 200- 1000 tracts are distributed so again we do pray that the seed sown would bare fruit for His glory.

Bx (Bible Explorer)       As you know I was able to get into my first school in December and had a great time with 5+6 class I now have another opportunity, which starts this Thursday at a boys school.  So again I would greatly value your prayers for this effort.

On the homefront

Melody + Esther and  Jerry  have thoroughly enjoyed having their older brother here for a spell and are really looking forward to having there big sister Valerie back to for a visit.  Esther and Melody continue to d there schooling and are looking forward to Easter as there is a weekend Easter party for them to go to.

Linda was reading a Bible story to Jerry the other night and the page was about…. the sons of Korah and how  the Lord   opened   the earth to swallow them up ( Kenneth Taylors,, The  Bible  in  Pictures for   Little Eyes)  Jerry  got very upset and crying said  “ That wasn’t very nice of God to do!!     Linda wondered  how to explain  this (  at the same time wondering  why this story was in a children’s book) (and  also wondering….. why she didn’t just skip this story.)  But God’s word is profitable and and when we pray ,.. He gives wisdom .. James 1:5.   Jerry had gotten a Lego blue knight for Christmas. He was a “good guy” knight.  Linda asked Jerry   “What did he use his sword for”  Jerry said     He has to kill the bad guys! “     Sometimes God has to kill   the bad guys..    this made sense to his wee mind.    “Phew!!”

David has been kept busy   working at the Sport shop over the holidays with no time off.  He doesn’t mind making lots of money.  He is pretty well liked by his co workers.. One day a lad was talking with David about that “guy” who is always shouting in the Square and how he should keep his opinions to himself.  David  said to him that the “guy” was his father.  So his flag is out there.  The lads gave him a poster the other day called “the Apocolypse Preacher” . It is a picture of a young man with a loudspeaker preaching about the end of the World. They thought it was pretty funny.  I’m glad that Dave is able to be out there and that he didn’t hide his faith.  Although it is not easy , and we are wanting to protect our children ,,, we know that God is better  at doing it than us.   With all  the hours at the shop,, David is finding it hard to fit in all his school work,, but knows that these next few months will  need his attention in order to finish his grade 12.  We would value your prayers for him.

Steven  recently came over for a 2 week visit which was both a delight and a surprise to Linda ( you should have seen her face J)  I had arranged for him to come a couple of months previous and it was very difficult to keep Linda from finding out but she was completely taken by surprise.

Sean and Valerie  are planning to come over in mid March so we so look forward to seeing them.  They both are kept pretty busy with work and helping at the youth center and with there church in Westbank.

Linda’s health:   Linda has been diagnosed with fibromaligia  and has good days and bad days.  Her test results have been negative for any cancer or other problems and they feel that the bladder problems she had are a result of the fibromaligia.  Again we would value your prayers for her.

Praise items

            1. We are thankful to God for firstly His wonderful gift of His Son  secondly saving our souls and thirdly allowing us the privilege of working with Him in the battle for souls here in Ireland.

In Waterford we have started meeting every Sunday evening and we have had some coming each evening although we would like to see more.  We do have some who are very steady for which we PTL.  Marion who cannot now come to the Wed evening study as it conflicts with her work is having a  study with Linda.  Linda says it is going quite well as they study together the fruit of the Spirit.

The Assembly in Kilkenny is going well and recently they had “Big Chuck” Ebron down from N. Ireland to help with outreach.  Seamus Callanan (one of the elders at Kilkenny) was able to get Chuck into 2 schools to talk about drug abuse and binge-drinking . Chuck was able to weave in His testimony along with the gospel as the “Only” real lasting remedy for the kids.  From what I understand things went quite well.  And on the Saturday we preached in downtown Kilkenny and Chuck and I were able also to talk to some kids who saw him at the school.

Home bible study

The study has continued  and we have seen some new faces as well.  Currently there is George, Kate, Kitty, Dierdra, Ceiran , Steven, Claire and Sinead who are coming faithfully week by week. Please pray for Ceiran who isn’t yet saved.   Continue to pray for Bernadette who use to come but has decided not to any more.   We have tried to encourage her back but she won’t have any part of it at the present time.  Pray as well for others who have come before but are not now again that there hearts would be drawn to Him.

Door to Door work

I have just started doing calendars in the doors.  We hope to do 12,000 before the new year starts and so as you can imagine we have been quite busy.  Recently while doing the calendars a man named Frank asked me for another one and then invited me in , after talking with him for a while he said he was Catholic but “very open” and would be interested in a Bible study.  We had the study the following day and plan to meet once a week for study.  Please pray for him (he is from Nigeria)and also his wife Evelyn who attends a charismatic meeting and seems open to the gospel although I am uncertain if she is saved.

The Open air work

We have continued to press on in the open air proclaiming the life giving message of the gospel.  With the preaching we have many opportunities to tell of Jesus.   Each time we also hand out about 500 tracts.  So we will just rest in the confidence of knowing as the scripture says in Isa 55:11  so shall My Word be, which goes out of My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall certainly do what I sent it to do.

On the homefront

Melody + Esther continue to do their schooling. They spent a weekend with some friends in Kilkenny who have girls about the same age. It was good for them .  Esther is helping to  teach Jerry how to draw among other things.  They  are all  looking forward to Christmas.

David  continues to study hard .  Just recently David was able to get a job for which we PTL.  He seems really happy now working at a sporting goods store and ---with money now in his pockets, his countenance doth brighten.

Steven,, Sean and Valerie will be in Canada for Christmas,, and their church activities with youth and Christmas events are keeping them very busy,,,, maybe too busy.  Sometimes the Christmas season isn’t such a great break. We pray that they will get some rest and quiet in the midst. This is a great opportunity at this time of year just to soak in the reality that our Savior came down to earth on a mission … the end of which resulted in the saving of each of us and many more.  We have much to look forward to and to be thankful for.

Linda’s health:   Linda has been very sick for the past 5 weeks, currently she seems to be doing a bit better, but has been extremely run down and in a lot of pain for the last month so if you could please pray for her we would all appreciate it.

Praise items

1. Our house finally sold and everything is settled with it so PTL with us. Thanks to all of you who helped in prayer to this end.

2. David able to work here and also finding a job.

Update on the work in Ireland

1Jo 5:14  And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

1Jo 5:15  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.

This past Saturday these verses came alive to me once again.  On Friday while preaching in the town square I started to think about a girl we had witnessed to many times but hadn’t seen for 3 months. Her name is Katrina and she is a Jehovah Witness. I started to pray and I asked God for an opportunity to talk with her and to again explain the gospel.  Nothing happened on Friday but on Saturday because of a baptism, which was to be at 5:30 at the beach (in nearby Tramore) we decided to preach again in Waterford (usually we do nearby towns on the Saturday).   Katrina came by and we had a very lengthy chat 2-3 hours and then I asked her if she would come to the baptism, which she did.   After the baptism Katrina was so worried about going home and facing her parents (her father is an elder at the Kingdom Hall).   She felt she had done a terrible thing by going against her parent’s wishes to another groups’ meeting.  She didn’t want to lie and was concerned what her parents were going to do to her.  The poor girl was in a bad way so we again tried to tell her of God’s great love for her which she can’t grasp as all she knows about Him is that He is to be feared.   We left her and told her many will continue to pray for her so please do pray.

Assembly news in Ireland

In Waterford we have just decided to start meeting together every Sunday evening starting in November instead of the twice a month we had been doing.  We hope to teach through basic doctrines on the other Sundays working towards the start of an Assembly meeting. Please pray for David Wilson,  Matt Wright and myself as we seek to establish a new testament Assembly here in Waterford for His Glory.

The Assembly in Kilkenny is going well and they are still quite active in outreach on Saturdays going door to door. Later this month they plan to have special gospel meetings to address trying  the drug and alcohol abuse that is so prevalent in the society here.  In doing this they have asked Charles “big Chuck” Ebron down from Northern Ireland.  Chuck comes from a tough inner -city background and has lots of experience with drug dealers and such.  They also hope to get him into the high schools and on the local radio.  There is a real epidemic of this kind of abuse currently in Kilkenny.

Baptism

We were thrilled to see Dierdra who was saved about a year and a half ago take this step of obedience.  She  had put it off for quite a while as she was uncertain as to how her family would receive the news.  Her mother is very religious and she has 2 aunts that are nuns.  Anyway she finally decided she would tell her mother (regardless of the consequences) and was greatly relieved to find her fairly open and not to upset at her.  Although her mom didn’t come she did give Dierdra a big hug before she went to be baptized.  Pray that she would grow in the Lord.  Matt Wright has been disciplining  her and continues to.

Home bible study

The study has continued to progress and we have seen some new faces as well.  Currently there is George, Kate, Kitty, Tom, Dierdra, Chris, Cieran and Sinead who are coming faithfully week by week. Please pray for Cieran who isn’t yet saved as well as Bernadette who use to be very faithful to the meeting and has stopped coming for the past 3 months.  Recently I visited her and tried to encourage her back to the meetings.  She said she probably would but as of yet she hasn’t.   Please pray for her and for the others who come that the Lord would use this study to bring some to himself and to eventually start a work here in Waterford

Door to Door work

I have been concentrating on getting out all the Via’s that remain and so have been busy doing this and not much else.  I think I will be done about the middle of the month and then I hope to do some more door to door.  I still will also go out at least once a week and do follow up with ones who have shown interest in the past.

The Open air work

Recently we have had some desperate weather (much continual rain) and although this hasn’t kept us from preaching and sharing the word we haven’t seen as many people around and therefore haven’t given out as many tracts and such.  We have had some good chats however with some and have been encouraged with the response to the gospel by others.  There are now several who know who I am and strangely respect what I stand for.   They always stop to say hello and chat a bit.  Pray that the Lord would bring conviction of sin to the many who hear His word here.

On the homefront

The children continue to do their schooling and are kept pretty busy with this.  On Halloween the other night Melody said “what’s really wrong with it!  As she was saying this a friend of hers came over and the costume she had on was in black with “cheerleader from Hell” written on her sweater.  We didn’t have to say too much after that.   One item for praise is that David was able to get a stamp on his passport, which allows him to work part time as a student.  We have been trying to get this since July so we are quite happy about it PTL.

Sean + Val

Are working with the youth at their church and recently they have another young person who was just saved come to stay with them.  He along with 2 others who stay there have very troubled pasts but Sean and Val are helping to disciple them and see this as the ministry the Lord has for them right now. They also have a mad bunny running loose around the house . (Val’s new pet)… and I think he is “hare “ to stay.

Steven

Continues to press on with his work as an apprentice carpenter and he also stays busy with helping with the music at his church. Ski season approaches and his youth group does some work getting the trails ready in exchange for season passes.

So again dear brethren Please continue to uphold us at the Throne of Grace

We are again reminded that we battle not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers.

So therefore we read in James 5:16b " The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" so we say Thanks for all your prayers on our behalf. And also we read in Ezekiel 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the Gap for the land, that I should not destroy it:

We are again so thankful for all of you fellow prayer warriors that you are doing just that.

Update on the work in Ireland

Mat 27:46  And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Just recently I was thinking about this verse on the Lord's day and I couldn't help but marvel at the goodness of God.   I thought "We know that Jesus is God and therefore has All "Knowledge" Why then does God ask a question to the Father? Well although it did have a purpose to fulfill prophesy I think  also the question was put forth to cause us  to wonder about the (WHY).   What kind of love is this! Why would He have allowed himself to suffer so! Although we know (intellectually) that it was His love for you and me, we can never understand the depth of this kind of love.  All I can say is THANK YOU LORD.

Wedding news
Well it really happened..  Our daughter is now Mrs. Valerie Lalonde.   The wedding was a real blessing to both Linda and I.  It warmed our hearts to see that both Sean + Val have a deep love for each other but more importantly an even deeper love for the Savior. There were about 200 present for the wedding with many unsaved there as well.  I was able to give a fairly clear gospel message along with Rick who was the pastor that married them.  Some comments we heard afterward were it was the nicest
wedding, and the Lord blessed with sunshine for the outdoor ceremony and reception by Okanagan lake.

Assembly news in Ireland
As you know we recently went back to Canada for the month of September and we had a great time seeing some old friends and also meeting some new ones.   I got to speak to the believers at our home assembly for 2 Sundays and was encouraged to be with them again.
The Kilkenny Assembly is going well and just recently we had an all day preaching seminar conducted by Daniel Webster.  This I think was a tremendous blessing. Daniel was able to give the Christians very good practical skills to help with preparation for preaching.  They seemed to have learned quite a bit and thought it was very profitable.

Home bible study
The study has been going very well in our absence and there are 2 new people who have been coming for the last 6 weeks they are.. Tom + Jerry.   Yes...   They both seem pretty open to the Bible although we are not certain where they are standing with the Lord.   Another person who has come out as well is Ceiran (younger one there is 2 with the same name) he also has been very open but is still not saved.  Just today as well a friend of George's asked if he could come to the study. Our sitting room is getting smaller,,  which is good.  Please continue to pray for this work as we see it as the main thrust for setting up a new work here.  Also Marion who is very faithful to come every week has started a new job and now can't come. Linda now is going to be doing a one on one study with her.  Thank you for
praying .

Daniel Webster
Our brother Daniel came over for a visit on his way to serve the Lord in Ghana.  Although it was a very busy time we did greatly enjoy our time with Daniel.  Daniel was kept pretty busy here with preaching 4 times at the Assembly and he also led the Bible study in our home.  It was good to spend time with him ,,,  please pray with us that the Lord will use him well in Africa.

Door to Door work
Daniel and I did manage to do the doors one day  and we had a good time talking with a Hindu man (Raj) who was quite open.   I told him I would get him something in his own language to read.  He is from Kerala and said he had heard much about Christianity but NOT like what he heard from us..  Anyway we do pray the seed sown will be used of the Lord.  I also managed to deliver some more of the seed sower texts along with the Via magazine and an invitation to our meetings.    I am now on the last box of seed sowers so there have been over 8000 delivered.  I will be doing quite a bit more of door to door work in the near future and would value your prayers.

The Open air work
Upon arrival back,,  we did manage to go out the next day and proclaim the message of life to those who are lost.  Daniel and myself did have some good chats with many different people. It was good to have someone with me helping with tract distribution in the open air.  Although Daniel stated several times that he wasn't really able to preach because of his soft voice etc.  I did manage to rope him into it.  I pulled out the microphone and started to call him by name and he then somewhat reluctantly came, grinned, and took the microphone and preached.   I thought he was pretty good and at the end of his preaching he managed to get into a couple of conversations with people who were listening to him preach.  He said afterwards that he was glad to have done some open-air preaching.  Another time out in the open air and we talked with several young people in a debate on the existence of God.  At the end of this we challenged them about their eternal destiny. I can't remember most of the names but 2 of them I do  Martha and Nate who both listened well and had some good questions.

On the homefront
We arrived back in Ireland Sept 30th at 8:00 am Irish time after leaving Sept 29th at 4:00am in Seattle.  Translated,,, it means about 24 hours of travel (without sleep),, but awesome to think that we can go half way around the world in such a short time.  Upon our return we were kept busy catching up on bills, chores (and sleep!) We are over that now and settled back into a routine.   Linda has started again with home schooling.   This involves much preparation and so Linda is kept very busy in this. The trampoline has been set up again in the back garden and the kids feel at home.

Sean + Val
Are keeping busy working at Starbucks and also with the youth at their church.  They seem happy and content together and are looking forward to serving God wherever He leads them.

Steven
Is continuing with his job and in the new year will go to school to do his 1st year apprentice in carpentry and he is also very active with his church playing guitar.  He is also saving up some money for a vehicle, which he hopes to purchase in the future.

Prayer requests

1. Besides the ones previously mentioned, please continue to uphold us as a family to be strong in the Lord
2. Pray for all the seed that has been sown through the various outreaches
3. Pray for journeys mercies traveling as we do many miles all around Ireland.
4. Please continue to pray for the sale of our home and all that is entailed with this. (This is not complete yet but is fairly close for which we PTL)

So again dear brethren Please continue to uphold us at the Throne of Grace We are again reminded that we battle not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers.

Luk 19:41  And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it

Psa 126:5  They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

As I read the first verse the other day what struck me was His Great Love and it really challenged me as I thought on how often Israel let him down or went totally against him yet he wept for them and prayed for them.  And then I thought about my own prayer life or lack of it and I thought:  when was the last time I wept for souls---have I ever?   I couldn’t remember the last time even for my own mother  that I wept for her soul.

Oh prayer partners let us cry out for those who are dead in their sins.

Assembly news in Ireland

We continue to be encouraged with the meeting in Kilkenny as we see both men and women actively looking to serve and doing so in many ways.  Also on the outreach work here in Waterford we have seen some great encouragements with several coming to the bible studies.  This summer has been very busy with 4 different teams over to help with evangelism and so our home has been fairly busy on Wed nights with  between 10-25 people at different times for the Bible study.  Some of the people who have come and are going on well are Marian and also George who have both made professions of faith  and seem to have a desire to grow in the things of God.  Bernadette who was going along great has had some trouble at home and such and has pulled back a bit but we rest on the verse that says in Phi 1:6  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ:  We also have many new contacts and trust some will  come to meetings.  Here are some names to pray for--- Ceiran (pronounced Keer-an)  , Desmond  and Edmond

Teams from N. Ireland

We had another 2 great weeks with 2 teams from Northern Ireland that came and helped with outreaches and also in the Bible study.  Again many good contacts were made and can be followed up  in the future.

Door to Door work

I have continued to have some good contacts on the doors and for the last 7 weeks have had the priviledge of working with Dale Malayko from Edmonton Canada.  He saved his holidays for 2 years to come on this mission trip along with his daughter Alex.   Dale and I managed among doing doors- to also deliver about 7,000 seed sower packages which contained  the via magazine along with a text of Acts 4:12 and an invitation to our Bible study and gospel meetings. I must say Dale was a great blessing and really showed a servant’s heart and helped me with many things. He even helped to fix the brakes on my van .   Also he seemed to be able to really relate to the Irish people and was used mightily.  He had  many different opportunities to witness.    He will be missed and it was good to have someone like-minded to work with.  Alex was a benefit as well on the doors and with the kids club with her beautiful voice she helped to lead the children in songs to His glory.

The Open air work

We continue to press on with the Word of God on both Fridays and  Saturdays.  Every time out proves to be interesting!!   One day Alex was singing in Waterford and then after her song I started to preach --and an owner of one of the shops came and said, “ I liked her singing but I don’t like to hear You!!       We have been enjoying good weather almost every time out.  Recently we were on our way to Clonmel ( a town about an hour away) to preach and there were dark clouds all around us and it poured rain  all the way while driving  there. When we arrived in Clonmel the rain stopped and   it never rained again that day.   This helps us to be bold for God knowing that He is behind what we are doing by encouraging us in this way.      There were many  great talks with so many individuals please just pray for all the seed that has been sown.  Dale brought with him 8000 tracts and we also gave out an additional 14,000 while he was here. That seems like a lot  , but there are a lot of people who go by us in the busy streets on a Saturday and Friday. Also, many were given on the doors.

We also had the blessing of having Anna Ng back with us for 3 weeks it was great to be with her working in the open air and also doing the children’s good news clubs.  Again Anna as well had many good talks and handed out lots of tracts.. She was also an encouragement to Marion with whom she stayed while in Waterford.

On the homefront

Jeremiah:  Has changed careers. He is no longer a pirate,,, but has now become a Muskateer.  His interest in swords,-- we will try to guide towards the double edged one listed in Hebrews.  For now he makes us all laugh  ( a lot ) .

Melody: + Esther:      Are enjoying—no school—but actually I think they are missing it because Esther was looking over her new books for next year and did the first math lesson just to show us how easy it is.  Melody is doing a lot of reading,, especially after going to bed.  Last year when she was just learning,, she made it known how much she  disliked reading and would never do it for fun.  Hmmmmm.

David:   Is recovering from  what we were all, including the doctor who examined him,,,   sure was a broken ankle.  But, the x-ray didn#t show a break. His ankle still looks bent one month later,,  anyhow Dave is back on the skateboard. There are two  skater lads,, one Ben  who had contact with some Christians from Arizona, and another JJ  who has been around the preaching Tim and Matt,  have done in Waterford,,, who have gotten saved.  This is evident ,,,, by the reaction from their friends who do not like the changes they see. When a person becomes a Christian here,, they stick out and are up for some trouble.  Ben has already been attacked by some guys who broke a bottle over  his  head .   We are hoping Dave and Matt  will have more contact with them and they can encourage one another .

Steven   We were talking to Steven  last week and he is keeping busy with work,,,, trying to do his school .  and== hanging out with his friends.  He does a lot with his church in the music end.. For us it is difficult to  know all that happens with Steve as he is in Canada 5000 miles away.. We miss him (lots and lots) and try not to worry too much about him= trusting  our heavenly Tather whose arm is not too short to reach over and pull Steve aside for guidance when needed. He encouraged me when he said  that Jesus could come any day ,, and we should be trying to make the most of our time here.

Valerie + Sean   Yes or--- Sean and Valerie---soon to be Mr and Mrs LaLonde.   That is why we are getting really excited about going back to Canada for the month of Sept.!!! They are getting married Sept. 11.==  Making  a memorable moment  on a memorable day.  Both of them want to serve the Lord,, and open up a home for troubled youth and are waiting for the right time and opportunity for this.  In the mean time they both continue to volunteer at  “! Hebrews!   A drop in coffee shop  where the gospel is shared to anyone who comes around.  So much coffee in their lives,,, they also are both working at Starbucks (although each one in a  different location).

Prayer requests

1. Besides the ones previously mentioned , please continue to uphold us as a family to be strong in the Lord

2. Pray for all the seed that has been sown through the various outreaches

3. Pray for journeys mercies traveling as we do many miles all around Ireland.

4. Please continue to pray for the sale of our home and all that is entailed with this.

Deuteronomy21:23b "For he who is hanged is accursed of God". Galatians 3:13b "Cursed is anyone who hangs on a tree." Recently I was preaching on a central street in a town called New Ross about 10 miles from Waterford and while preaching - an older man started screaming and cursing at me loudly from across the street . He continued to curse and threaten so when I finished my message. I went over to him and asked if he had a problem with me. He then continued his verbal assault calling me everything he could think of. Then he turned his hatred toward Jesus by calling all kinds of filthy names and saying things about Him. I turned to him and strangely felt a lot of pity for him and again reminded him that the Lord Jesus, whom he was cursing , loved him even unto death even the death of the cross. Even while he was cursing - him - the Savior was reaching out to him with his nail pierced hands showing him how much He loved him. Sadly after hearing this, he left in a rage. If it was up to me, I wouldn't have bothered with this man, but I could just see by faith how much the Lord loved him. I understood from this experience ,, something of how great and gracious love our Savior has for us lost sinners!!

Assembly news in Ireland

The Assembly in Kilkenny continues to do very well and we continue to be encouraged with the believers there who show much commitment to the Lord and their assembly. . Just recently at the annual conference at Kilkenny, we had Larry Price over from Florida. He ministered along with Michael McKillen ( from N. Ireland ) . The ministry was excellent and everyone was built up in their faith. Larry also stayed with us for 3 weeks and in fairness,,, we had a good time of fellowship and he also helped with open- air preaching and leading our home bible study. We continue to be encouraged with this study as we generally get between 3- 6 local people coming to it. W e also have seen 2 people come to faith in Christ. One of these ladies,

Bernadette, who Matt and I met on the doors is going along very well and has talked about baptism and is desiring to do so, so please pray for her. Also this past Friday, she showed up in town while we were passing out tracts and preaching and asked if she could help!!

Team from N. America

We enjoyed the time immensely with the team while they were over here, and there has been much seed sown both on the doors ,, in the streets and with 2 childrens 3 day clubs. So here again we would ask you to pray for all the results, causing this seed to be watered.

Door to Door work

With the doors - we have continued to have some open doors and some good contacts. Just recently Dale + Alexandra (Alex) Malayko have come over and they both have been a great encouragement (and fellowship) . They are here for 8 weeks so we look forward to seeing what the Lord will do. Dale has been a big help on the doors and also talking with people in the open air. The Lord has gifted him with boldness and he has had several different opportunities to share about the Love of Christ. Again please keep this work in prayer as there are many people to follow up on.

The Open air work

We continue to press on with the Word of God on both Fridays and Saturdays. Every time out proves to be interesting!! Too many stories to tell here, but it is safe to say the word has been preached and we do pray the Lord will bless His word and many may turn and be saved.

On the homefront

Jeremiah: Jerry recently just had his 4th birthday and continues to be a joy to the whole household. Just the other day he said to Linda "wow mom I can turn my neck many different ways--- God did that! That's amazing! "

Melody: + Esther: Have finished their school for the summer and are enjoying the summer holidays just playing with each other and other friends they have made here.

David: Is also finished his schooling for the year and is enjoying having the time off. He has recently been witnessing to some of the kids in the estate as they often ask questions about what we believe. He also has continued with his skateboarding and, took a fall. We thought he broke his ankle because it swelled up a lot. The x-rays though showed it wasn't broken and so he only had to have a temp cast put on it for a week and is now again walking on it. He can't wait to get out on his board again.

Steven . Is continuing with his job and really enjoys it. He also should graduate this year and so will be done with his education as he desires at present to complete his journeymen in carpentry.

Valerie + Sean Look forward to getting married in September. They are making all the plans now and would value your prayers. They both also continue to work with troubled youth and hope to continue in this ministry...

Update on the work in Ireland

Gen 1:1 "In the beginning God"
Recently I was thinking of how the bible starts and realized as the bible doesn't try to "prove" God's existence it isn't up to me to prove it either but just allow the Word of God to do it's work as it says in Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it. The work of the Holy Spirit is to convict the world of sin of righteousness and of judgment to come. Isn't it great realizing that we are simply the messengers delivering His message.

Assembly news in Ireland
The Assembly in Kilkenny continues to progress along very well and we continue to be encouraged with the growth in the believers. Also as stated in our last update it is a great thrill for us to see them join us in prayer for Waterford and desiring to see a N. Testament Church established there for His glory.

Team from N. America
Ron Hampton has again brought over some people from all over N. America to work with local missionaries primarily in evangelism. The teams called TNT or "Teach and Testify" are currently working in our old area NCW, Charleville with (6) and also in Dublin (8) and the team that is working with us in Waterford (8) Please uphold them in prayer.

Door to Door work
With the door to door we have continued to have some open doors and some good contacts. Also please pray for all the contacts that will be made over the next few weeks with the team of 8 as I'm sure we will have many good contacts as a result we will be doing doors on Tues to Thursday and would really value prayer for the seed that will be sown.

The Open air work
Since our last update we have preached in Clonmel, Carlow and each week in Waterford and again we had many good conversations each time out. Also with the team's arrival on Friday evening we went out on Saturday in the open air in Waterford and there were numerous opportunities given to tell of the "one who died for them" A couple of people who listened very well to the gospel were Paul and Jimmy who took New Testaments and said they would read them. Many others were also spoken with on a one on one basis. There were about a thousand tracts along with invitations also handed out so please pray for the seed that has been sown.

On the homefront
Jeremiah: Continues to grow and is starting to learn some more Hymns just recently he has been "practicing his moves" on his skateboard. Actually his older brother David is teaching him a couple of tricks and he just loves to show off now.. He also recently has shown a lot of interest in singing different hymns of late. A while back he would only sing 1 or 2 different ones so we are happy about this and it is really cute hearing him sing.

Melody: + Esther: Continue to grow and are almost finished the school
year Yeah!! And so they look forward to the summer break. They also continue to help me with tract distribution on Saturdays and sometimes they help there mother with singing in the open air.

David: Is still plugging away with school and is also just about finished for the summer. He is getting quite involved with skateboarding and just recently a team from the US ( Calvary chapel) brought over a professional skateboarder and they were able to share the gospel with many young people and I think David is hoping to do this type of ministry and so is doing a lot of practicing.

Steven . Is continuing with his job and really enjoys it. He also should graduate this year and so will be done with his education as he desires at present to complete his journeymen in carpentry.

Valerie Is also kept quite busy as well. She continues to work at Hebrews (a coffee shop which is used as an outreach to troubled teens) Just recently a fellow she works with Sean has asked to court her for the purpose of marriage. Please pray for them both as they are seeking God's guidance and want to be in His will.

Linda: Has continued to enjoy a bit better health and also helps out on most Saturdays with singing in the open air. She also has been teaching S. School at the chapel along with her many household duties keep her more than busy..

Tim: Not much has changed since our last update I continue to press on with the gospel message we have seen much encouragement with our home bible study we have 5 people attending regularly and two of them have professed faith in Christ please pray for the others Kate, Marion and Angela.

Prayer requests

1. Besides the ones previously mentioned , please continue to uphold us as a family to be strong in the Lord

2. Please pray for salvation for the following people who are coming to various meetings Angela, Donna, Marion and Kate Also pray for Bernadette and Kitty who have both made a profession of faith, another man named George who also has professed salvation as well is now attending, please pray for them all to grow in the Lord

3. Pray for all the seed that has been sown through the various outreaches

4. Pray for journeys mercies traveling as we do many miles all around Ireland.

5. Please continue to pray for the sale of our home and all that is entailed with this.

Update on the work in Ireland

Luke 13:3  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Mark 6:12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent
Well praying partners we continue to press on with the Great news of the gospel, firstly because He asked us to and secondly because there is ONLY one way to Heaven..

Assembly news in Ireland
Since our last update you may recall we are now working in Waterford and are attending the Assembly in Kilkenny.  We have been greatly encouraged with the work in the Assembly in Kilkenny.  When we first came to Ireland in 1997 and visited the Assembly it was much smaller than it is today.  Now the  Kilkenny Assembly has grown in numbers but more importantly in depth of love to our Lord.  It thrills my heart  on a Lord’s Day morning to see many of the Irish brothers offering praise and thanks to our God many of which have only been saved for 2-5 years.   Just recently a brother from a fellowship in Limerick who came to help me with open air work made this comment. “This is a really strong Church, and if there was a church like this in Limerick I definately would go there.”  He later stated he never enjoyed a remembrance service as much before!  Truly this is a good testimony of how they lift up the Savior.
Mid week prayer meeting is also a  blessing because almost all the believers including their children  attend this meeting as well as the Sunday Lord's supper and Family Bible ministry meeting. Some of them have also been a  help in praying for and  coming to Waterford to help  in the work here so we again PTL for this.

Door to Door work
With the door to door I have had some great opportunities to witness and have had several good contacts.  Many of the people contacted when asked " Have you ever heard this kind of message before? (“Free gift of Eternal life”).  have responded with NO!  Also we have had 4 people who were contacted on the doors come to our bible study and  to the gospel meetings. The Lord will be praised .  One of the ladies (Kitty who is 83)  has come to the bible study. In the past years she  has attended many charismatic meetings. Recently, I was having a one on one study with her and explained the gospel and how she could KNOW that she HAS eternal life.  She said  “I never heard that before.  That is Great news” A little later she made a profession with me, Kitty seems now to have assurance of her salvation as she says “Well if the book says it, then  it must be so!” It was great to see her relying on what God said not what I or someone else had told her.

The Open air work
Here we have had some very good  times preaching the  gospel message to those who are perishing passers by. .  Of course there are always mixed emotions from people which include mocking and some threatening but nevertheless we press on knowing that the gospel is the power of God unto Salvation and we  are glad to know that His word is going out and we can have encouragement in the fact  as the scripture says.. Isaiah 55:11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper whereto I sent it.   Many times while preaching in Waterford in the open square we have had some good talks with young people and often after a preach we get into different chats with up to 10 or 20 young people who for the most part seem to be interested in the message and often have some good questions.

At Home:
Jeremiah: He continues to amuse everyone here and now has become one of the favorites at the Assembly in Kilkenny as he is always wanting to play and many love to play with him.  On the spiritual side Jerry almost everyday asks me this question “ When is Jesus coming back Dad”  Of course my reply is I dunno maybe today.  He then says I can’t wait to see him you too eh dad!  Amen! It is great to hear this and also to know that one day faith WILL give way to sight and we WILL see Him face to face.   This sure hope will turn into a reality.

Melody:  As stated in earlier updates Mel has improved dramatically in her reading skills and is now reading her bible and anything else she can get into.   We do see some growth in the things of the Lord for which we PTL.  Recently Melody and Esther were at an Easter camp and they both enjoyed the time immensely and have made some new friends.

Esther:    Is growing up quickly and has a real sharp mind. She is very good at memory work.  It always amazes me as we do devotions she generally not only knows the story line from old test to New but also the names of the people involved. Please pray that her head knowledge will be used at a later time for His glory's sake.

David:  Is still plugging away with his school and is doing fairly well with it. Recently Dave went to a weekend young peoples' outing in N. Ireland which was called Vessels of Honor.  This turned out to be very profitable as we have seen a good change of character in David.  He said he was able to work out a number of things so again we PTL for this.  Also for anyone who has prayed for him please continue to do so.

Steven  is still helping with  the music at his church with his guitar. He has done some  outreach with some of the other young people at his church.  Just recently with his new job in Carpentry he was asked if he would like to apprentice in it and he has decided too.  He also got a raise which he was quite grateful for, as this may make it possible for him to get some 'wheels'.   Again we would value your prayers for him.

Valerie Is also kept quite busy as well. She continues to work at Hebrews (a coffee shop which is used as an outreach to troubled teens)  Just recently she was over here for a friend’s wedding and it was great to have her back home for a little while.   We have seen her  growing up in the Lord  and she seems to be really going on. This is not 'sucess' in the eyes of her unsaved Grandparents though who feel she is not accomplishing much by spending time at a coffee shop that doesn't pay her.   She desires to serve the Lord fulltime and has a real burden for young people.  So with the opportunities at Hebrews she has been used of the Lord to many young ones who have many problems in their lives.  She would greatly value your prayers as she continues in this work.
Linda:  Has continued to help in the openair work with singing and where ever she can in other outreaches.  She of course is kept very busy in the home with home schooling, cooking, cleaning etc..  As one can imagine she finds it lonely to be in  new surroundings and   misses Valerie and Steven very much and would value your prayers.

Tim: I have continued to go door to door and been involved in various outreaches.  As stated before I have been hoping to get into the schools with the Bible Explorer program but I still haven’t had any success with this yet so here I would again value your prayers and also for all the outreaches I am involved with.

Rachiel:  ( Our adopted daughter) has of course gone back home with her family now and  is greatly missed..  We do get letters from her quite often however which keep us in  memory of her. We have been greatly encouraged to hear that she is now involved in a door to door work back home with some believers in her area.  Again I’m sure she would value your prayers in this as well.

Prayer requests

1. Besides the ones previously mentioned , please continue to uphold us as a family to be strong in the Lord

2. Please pray for salvation for the following people who are coming to various meetings  Angela, Donna, Marion, Kate and Bernadette.  Also that Kitty would grow in the Lord.

3. Pray for all the seed that has been sown through the various outreaches

4. Pray for journeys mercies traveling as we do many miles all around Ireland.

5. Please continue to pray for the sale of our home and all that is entailed with this.

Yours because of Calvary Tim + Linda Hood + Family

January 2004

Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

I have been preaching in the open air lately a lot with this verse as I see materialism everywhere. It sure makes me glad to know that I have been saved and am fit for heaven.  There is so much of this world’s goods out there to distract people away from the Savior.

I Just thought I would try to keep you all updated on the work here and so you might be able to pray more intelligently.

Assembly news in Ireland

Our little meeting in Charleville is still going along well currently though you could continue to pray for them as it is always difficult to get real commitment out of the believers. Sally has been sick a lot and has had a lot of trouble with her digestion etc.  Outside of the physical ailments all is going well spiritually with her PTL. Continue to pray for the Assembly and direction for the Cooneys as they seek to minister here along with the Nickel from Limerick.  With our own situation we will be leaving at the end of the month to start up working in Waterford.  We would value your prayers as we will seek to establish a work in the area along with Matthew Wright

Door to Door work

I have continued to go forth with the calendars and we have distributed all 10 thousand with Matt Wright and some other helpers. So please pray that these might be used of God to draw people to himself and also that ite might be used  to open some doors to hearing His word.  Yesterday I received a text message on my mobile from  someone (probably in Waterford) who asked “where is God in an evil world like this”  It is great to see a response from the calendars and I was able to respond to the question and asked if they would like to talk about it.  Please continue to uphold us in this work.

The Open air work

We continue to go forth with His word in the open air in various towns among whom were Cork City, Mallow Newcastlewest.  In Mallow we got some real encouragement as when I finished preaching a lady who was from America came up and started to talk at first she thanked us for bringing God’s word but next she started to ask why we were in front of the Catholic Church to preach, I was able to share that it was the best place to preach as it was in the center of town which seemed to appease her.  She then told us that she was saved and when asked where she fellowshipped she said sometimes at the Catholic Church so then Linda started to explain to her the various things that were wrong with the RC Church at this point her husband then came over who was Irish and he told us that he just got saved last year and he also told his wife how the R.Church was so wrong here and thanked us again for preaching.  He then told me that his brother led him to the Lord last year when I asked who was his brother he replied Joe Hacknett, I then recalled witnessing to his brother so I asked when his brother was saved and he said 2 years ago.  It was a real encouragement to me to see fruit for our labors as I witnessed to his brother 2 ½  years back and gave him John’s gospel to read so PTL that He is saving souls here in the Republic.

On the homefront

Firstly   A praise item we were able to find a house in Waterford which is in a good location and the rent isn’t out of this world it is however 700 euros a month which is about 1100 Canadian but we trust the Lord who provided the house will provide the necessary funds for it.  As stated earlier we will be moving next week so we would value your prayers in this regard as there is much to do with setting up a home etc…

Jeremiah: had a great time with Christmas and really enjoyed having his older brother and sister home for the holidays.  He continues to keep everyone entertained just recently we made him a mask and so he runs around with his mask on saying he is “batman” much to everyone’s delight

Melody:  Is continuing to read her bible more and more and is asking some good questions at devotions. She has progressed well with her reading and as the Irish say she’s “flying it”  (doing well).  She is looking forward to the move and will have some new friends at the Assembly in Kilkenny which I’m sure she will enjoy.

Esther:   Has continued to be a help to her mom and is doing well with her school.  She too has enjoyed being with her older sister and also recently has been writing to a pen pal who is a missionary girl as well although in Nicaragua.  So they have enjoyed writing each other and learning about the different cultures and church life etc. Pray for her though as she will be leaving her best friend Miriam when we move to Waterford

David:  Continues with his school work and is kept fairly busy with this, as stated many times he longs for Canada and desires to go back as soon as he can.  Please continue to uphold him in your prayers as it is difficult for him being here, having so many friends back in Canada.

Steven  Is continuing with his school and should be able to graduate at the end of this year.  Just recently he has been offered a job in construction working with some other Christians and he is uncertain as to whether he will be able to do this and still do his schooling, please pray that he would have God’s mind in this and not his own. He continues with leading the music at his church in Canada and we have seen some growth with him spiritually, which is encouraging.   He has enjoyed  being home with us and we can tell he is really happy to be with the family again so PTL.  We also had some good encouragement as he asked if he could come with me and hand out tracts when I preached in the open air so again PTL with us in this.

Valerie Is also kept quite busy as well. She continues to work at Hebrews (a coffee shop which is used as an outreach to troubled teens)  She really enjoys this and has really been used of the Lord as many young people have been won to the Lord through this ministry.  For the future she is still a bit uncertain to what the Lord would have her do but she is willing to follow His leading wherever this may find her for which we PTL.  We would also value your prayers for her as she seeks him.

Linda:  Her health still has plagued her much but currently after receiving medication her asthma is under control we hope with the move that this might improve her health.  She is also looking forward to (having been moved) not the moving part of it.  Please pray for her in this as it can be quite stressful.

Tim: I am kept busy with preparing messages and visiting people etc.. and driving driving driving !!!  The main reason I’m doing so much is that we are in the process of trying to make a move as we have said earlier to Waterford.  Waterford is a little over 2 hours away from here and so I have now been concentrating my outreaches more towards there so consequently  I have been doing many hours on the road.  PTL though as I have good health and really enjoy the ministry.

Rachiel: Has been a delight to have here and she is both funny to be with and also a great help both around the home and also with many of the outreaches.  The Lord has richly blessed us in allowing her to come for 6 months.  We would ask for prayer for her though as I am sure she misses her home terribly and longs to be with her family.

Prayer requests

1. Besides the ones previously mentioned , please continue to uphold us as a family to be strong in the Lord

2. Please pray for our move as we will be moving next week so there will be much that needs to be taken care of.

3. Pray for all the seed that has been sown through the various outreaches

4. Pray for journeys mercies traveling as we do many miles all around Ireland.

5. Please continue to pray for the sale of our home and all that is entailed with this.

6. Pray for our van as we have had lots of trouble with it since replacing the head and currently it is leaking and burning much oil about a liter every tank !   So in the future we will probably need another vehicle.

Yours because of Calvary Tim + Linda Hood + Family
